ABOUT THIS TREATMENT
What Is Cupping Therapy?
Cupping therapy uses suction cups placed on the skin to create negative pressure — the opposite of massage. Instead of pressing tissue down, cupping lifts it up, decompressing fascia, separating muscle layers, and flooding the area with fresh blood flow.

At Central Health Chiropractic in Des Moines, Dr. Jake Boyle integrates cupping into comprehensive treatment plans for patients dealing with chronic muscle tension, sports injuries, and myofascial pain that hasn't responded to other treatments.

You may notice circular marks after a session — this is normal and indicates areas where circulation was restricted. These fade within a few days and are a sign the therapy is working.
