ABOUT THIS TREATMENT
What Is Flexion Distraction?
Flexion Distraction is a specialized chiropractic technique performed on a segmented table that gently stretches and decompresses the lumbar spine. It was developed to treat disc-related conditions without surgery or injections.

At Central Health Chiropractic in Des Moines, Dr. Jake Boyle uses this technique to help patients with herniated discs, sciatica, and lower back pain regain function and reduce pain — often in as few as 4–6 sessions.

Unlike traditional high-velocity adjustments, Flexion Distraction uses slow, rhythmic movements. It's ideal for patients who need a gentler approach, including those recovering from injury or dealing with chronic disc conditions.
